One of effective forms of advertisement is email marketing, or newsletter. Email newsletter is very dynamic tool. Internet users receive tons of newsletters daily and you should create something that will stand out and make recepient want to learn more. You have to present maximum information which viewer can absorb in minimum period of time, otherwise your newsletter will be deleted…
work process:
Email newsletter assumes that email will be send with some regularity – weekly, monthly, quarterly and layout of the newsletter should be designed the way that information and graphics elements can be easily changed or replaced in the next letter. Working on the newsletter layout, I always try to divide layout in 3 sections - title message, special deals (main purpose of the newsletter) and contact info.
advice to clients:
Don't forget that a lot of people have email programs set not to display images, so make sure your message is clear without any images, and that layout contains link to HTML version of the newsletter. It's also very important to place "unsubscribe" link at the end of the email – even people who like your deals will be more comfortable having control and option to "unsubscribe", plus it's required by law. Don't expect newsletter layouts to be complex and intricate! Email clients have a lot of built-in styles and restrictions so newsletter layouts should be as simple as possible, otherwise complex styles and graphics won't be displayed at all.
